1. Introduction
Welcome to Kaplyn Barber, Salon & Gifts (“we”, “our”, “us”), operated by Riversdale Home Supplies (PTY) Ltd.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website (www.dekaplyn.co.za), our in-store services, and any purchase made through our online or physical locations. By using our website or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase on our website. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to your transaction.
4. Products & Services
We sell retail products (barber, salon, and gifts) and provide salon and barber services in-store.
We reserve the right to:
- Discontinue products without notice
- Limit quantities per customer
- Refuse service for reasonable cause (e.g., abusive behaviour, non-payment)
5. Pricing & Payment
- All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.
- We accept payments via PayFast, Yoco, PayPal, and in-store card or cash payments.
- Orders are only processed once payment has cleared.
- Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
6. Shipping & Delivery
- We deliver via Courier Guy/PUDO and PostNet.
- Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to external factors beyond our control.
- Once your order is handed to the courier, the risk of loss passes to you.
- You are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.
7. Returns & Refunds
We comply with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
You may return an item within 7 days of purchase/delivery if:
- It is unused, in its original packaging, and in saleable condition
- You have proof of purchase
Exclusions: - Perishable goods
- Personal care products (due to hygiene reasons) unless faulty
- Services already rendered
If a product is defective, you may choose repair, replacement, or refund in terms of the CPA. Return courier costs may apply unless the product is faulty or the wrong item was sent.
8. Salon & Barber Appointments
- We require advance bookings for the salon (walk-ins subject to availability) and barber services (walk-ins only).
- If you have allergies, skin conditions, or medical concerns, you must inform us before treatment.
- Some services may require a consultation form for your safety (see our Privacy Policy for how this data is handled).
- We are not liable for adverse reactions if relevant medical/allergy information is not disclosed.
9. Promotions & Competitions
- Promotions are valid only for the specified dates and while stocks last.
- Competition entries are subject to separate rules published at the time of entry.
10. Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, images, and logos, is the property of Kaplyn Barber, Salon & Gifts and may not be used without permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of our products or services
- Delays in delivery caused by couriers or external events
- Allergic reactions or injuries where medical/allergy information was not disclosed
12. Privacy & Data Protection
We process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and South Africa’s POPIA law.

We may update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our site or services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
